Finally picked her up from Bass N' Bucks in Wabash (Bass N' Bucks is not a Dan Wesson dealer they just ordered it for me). Upon receiving the pistol it comes in a very nice hard case with two Check-Mate magazines (one of them had a bent lip and was defective) a bushing wrench (needed later) and a bottle of lube for the absolutely immaculate pistol inside.

First Impressions:
Opening the box just begs for Ooohs and ahhhs and I could swear I heard the angels singing, as a light from the heavens shined down. I went to the FFL last week to pick up this gem, and I was not disappointed. The gun was well oiled and cleaner than any gun I have received as of yet, except my SS Ruger 10/22 takedown, which was just as clean.

I've been looking for a 4" 1911 for awhile now. I love my kimber Ultra CDP2, but I keep hearing about the "hit or miss quality" of the Kimber products. Mine has never had an issue and performs excellent. Dan Wesson V-Bob and a Kimber Super Carry Pro are about the same kind of money.

Is the Dan Wesson truly a better product?
